About the Company:
Financially Wise Women is a financial planning company for women specializing in personal
financial planning, online money courses, workshops, live events and presentations about
women, finance and entrepreneurship.
The Business Development Intern is responsible for the continued development and growth of the Financially Wise Women brand through speaking engagements and event & partnership opportunities.
Length of term: 12 weeks
Start Date: September 13, 2017
End Date: December 6, 2017
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week
College Credit Internship, Unpaid
Consistently scour the internet to find conferences, workshops, corporate retreats, panels and events that align with FWW
Monitor the social media activity of like-minded colleagues and peers of Brittney to learn about events where these women are speaking and teaching workshops
Work closely with Johanna Voss, our Operations and Strategy Manager to build this dynamic list of events and conferences
Candidate should be interested helping to build Brittney’s speaking career. This does NOT mean pitching her for events. It does mean helping being another set of eyes and ears to learn about opportunities.
Candidate must be creative and a self starter who understands that doing the same tasks on a weekly basis will always yield new and different results
Candidate must be articulate and have a proven ability to present new marketing ideas to the company.
Candidate must be able to take direction and feedback and be good with time management
Proven ability to work independently and/or with a team.
Internet savvy with research skills and familiarity with social media, blogs, and news sites.
Candidate should be great at understanding this vision and mission and then able to interpret it to find things that we don’t currently know about.
