Is Chicken Little on TV Making You Scared?

Do you ever watch financial news on TV and walk away feeling more confused and stressed than ever about your financial future?

Well, if so, you’re not alone. And even though I’m in the financial industry–after all, I’ve been a financial planner for over 10 years now!–I think most financial news is there to drive more stress and negative emotion into us. What it doesn’t do is help people understand how to manage their money in order to reach their financial goals with grace and ease.

What I’ve learned over the course of my personal life and career in finance is that I have the control to decide what I take in–whether it’s financial news, online media, radio or print.

Without a heavy filter on what I consume, I’d be a walking robot full of stress and anxiety about my life and future. So even though it may be hard to do at first, I encourage you to set up your own filtering system to ensure you focus on receiving only solid financial information–information that leaves you feeling empowered and excited about your financial future.

To help you get started, watch this week’s FWL episode–in it, I’m sharing some tips to help you do just that: Set up your own money filtering system so you only watch news that’s healthy and educational.

After you watch the video, I’d love to know : How are you going to set up your filtering system? What are you going to filter out? Leave a comment on the blog to share with all of us.

If you found this video helpful, I’d love for you to share it with a friend or relative who may also need to hear this information.

Us women are amazing at sharing what we learn–and the more financially wise women we have in the world, the better off we’ll all be!

Thank you for being amazing and watching these weekly episodes about money. I feel blessed to do the work I do, and helping people like you, who truly care about improving their financial lives and using their money to live their dream lives.

Keep going on your financial journey. I believe in you, and I’m sending you tons of money love this week and always.
