Three Things I Can’t Stop Thinking About From the #ChaseforBiz Conference
As you know, if you follow me on social media, I was in Dallas on Oct. 11 in partnership with Chase Ink for the Chase for Business conference. It was a whirlwind day of learning, meeting new people and rubbing elbows with the likes of Nely Galan, Daymond John and Nick Cannon (!!), and I left with so many awesome ideas for Financially Wise Women. Here are three things I can’t stop thinking about from the conference:
Never give up. Nely Galan, the author of SELF MADE and the epitome of a Financially Wise Woman, told me this when I met her on Tuesday. She said that even with all the twists and turns that come with entrepreneurship and building your biz, you have to keep going, and it’s up to you, as the business owner, to keep learning, responding to shifts and grabbing opportunities as they present themselves. Such an important reminder from a true #bosslady.
2. Don’t just go through life, grow through life. Nick Cannon told me this and I love it. It’s such a great reminder that every challenge and every opportunity gives us a reason to grow and evolve in our businesses and in our personal lives.
3. Be still. When it comes to life and businesses, most of us are go-go-go all the time. So I loved when Nick Cannon also told me that sometimes the best thing he does for himself is to just stop and be still for a moment. It makes so much sense: being still resets your brain and gives you a moment of quiet to really stop and reflect what’s going on. (Just think about how much power can come from that!) And from a financial perspective, it keeps you from whipping out that credit card and making an impulse purchase or a snap financial decision. As we head into the holidays, I think pausing and allowing ourselves the space to get clear on what we really want is so important.
Which of these tips resonate with you the most? Leave a comment and let me know–I’d love to hear.
